More things to do in Nelspruit in 2019July 25, 2019

As a bustling town, and since spring is right around the corner, if you are planning your trip to Nelspruit, you might be interested in adding a few of these things to your calendar.

Pensao offers guests truly comfortable accommodation in Nelspruit and each year we host hundreds of guests. Both holiday makers and business people find that our Nelspruit lodge is the perfect place from which to explore the town and surroundings and our location makes it easy to get to meetings on time, regardless of where it is.

In past blogs, we’ve mentioned a number of things that you can do while in the town, and as we go into summer 2019, we’ve collected a few more fun things for you to get up to.

  1. Get to the waterpark
It’s not the biggest waterpark in the area, but Mafunyane Water Park is one of the most exciting places to jump on the slides and cool off when the days get intensely warm. The park has a few swimming pools and a place to enjoy a snack while soaking up the sunshine. If you want to make more of a day of it, you can always head to nearby Badplass Resort where you will have more water activities to choose from.
  2. Montrose Falls
We are abundantly blessed with the most breath taking water falls in our corner of the world. The Montrose Falls are no exception, and those who visit them can pack a picnic and make a day of it. These waterfalls are on the Schoemans Kloof road, and its best to visit during the summer when the rivers are full from the rain.
  3. Visit Sudwala
While in the Schoemans Kloof area, stopping off at the Sudwala Caves is another thing that you should add to your list. You can walk around the Dinosaur Park and have a look at all of the recreated cement dinosaurs. And if you have the time, you can take a trip into the ancient caves or spend time in the spa. It’s the perfect retreat for a summer’s day.
  4. Hike in the Kaapsehoop Mountains
Nelspruit is full of energy and seems to be growing by the day. Those wanting some solitude usually travel the 30 minutes up the mountain to Kaapsehoop where they can take a walk in the clear, crisp air. Once in the village, guests can take a hike in the forests and get lost for a little while, before returning to one of the few eclectic eateries where a hot drink and a warm fire awaits. Even in the middle of summer, the village can get quite cold.

There’s not a moment to be bored when staying in our Nelspruit lodge. Book your room today, and plan your exciting getaway.
