Our Family Accommodation Tips

With so many accommodation facilities to choose from, it can be rather difficult to find the right place for your needs. By using our tips, you can quickly assess whether the accommodation you are looking at is suitable for you and your family.

  1. Small rooms are out

Even a family of 4 need plenty of space to be comfortable in. All being crammed into a tiny space with no privacy is not going to make for a pleasant, memorable holiday. Ideally, you should make sure that everyone will have their own room, but if that is not possible, children can always share if the accommodation you have chosen is big enough.

  1. Choose central

It is so important, when choosing your accommodation that you opt for a facility that is centrally located. This will allow you to easily get to places, even if you prefer to walk. A central guesthouse or lodge is also helpful if you want to make sure that you won’t easily get lost while out and about. When choosing your accommodation, just make sure that it doesn’t face a street.

  1. Try to have some creature comforts

Like a bath. When you are travelling with children, you should look for accommodation which includes a bath tub, which is something that is possibly not only familiar to your children, but which will also provide endless fun.

  1. Find out about onsite amenities

Family friendly lodges will normally have a swimming pool or play area for children to enjoy. This is an added benefit and a most welcome one, should your children grow tired and restless and want to run around a bit. Having a big garden to explore is another major benefit.

  1. Dining Options

Having an onsite restaurant or room service is a really fantastic option. You are on holiday after all, the last thing you will want to do is have to think about making meals day after day. Having a number of dining options is really helpful as you can then choose when you wish to have dinner at the restaurant or prepare your own.
